This Netflix movie heart of stone where Gal Gadot played a woman named Stone who works for an organization that follows the orders of an AI called “The Heart”? 30 percent. Even that bizarre horror movie version of Winnie Pooh I received two positive reviews. (Not even just one! Two critics approved Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.)

That’s a way of saying: It’s very easy to make a bad film, but very hard making a film that is so universally hated that it doesn’t get good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Because this isn’t just about a critic’s opinion or his picks for the worst films of the year we’re talking about; In this case, a unanimous consensus of critics about something is required. And as the examples above show, some of the most universally disliked films of recent times have their advocates.
