Hailing from Mexico, Armando and Kenny became the franchise’s first same-sex male couple in season two and have since appeared in several spin-offs including Pillow talk and the current fifth season of The other way. Their relationship is healthy and drama-free unlike the other couples fans have seen on the series.
But Kenny and Armando’s current story shows that they are suffering from marital problems due to Kenny’s age. There is a 26 year age difference between Kenny and Armando. It’s hard to believe sometimes Kenny is much older because he looks so youthful on screen.

Kenny has often spoken about losing several of his close and dear friends to HIV/AIDS in the 1980s. “A generation lost” Kenny said when he shared more of his souvenir photos from that time on Instagram in November 2020. Kenny thanked “those we lost many years ago because they gave us strength and made our lives full of meaning decades later.” The 80s and even the 90s were difficult times for Kenny due to his desire to have children. Since he was not married, the IVF process was not only costly but also complicated.
Kenny had to fake his marriage in order to have his four children. Kenny never married a woman, but his friend carried his children for him. Kenny gave birth to a son Bryson and triplet daughters Taylor, Cassidy and Madison during the process. While Kenny is now a grandfather, Armando wants to have his own baby with Kenny. Kenny didn’t want to do that because he didn’t want to take on the added responsibility of raising a baby at his age.
