EXCLUSIVE: Phars Film has secured the international distribution rights for Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups.
The agreement encompasses the rights for the film’s versions in several Indian languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. Negotiations for the English distribution rights are still ongoing.
The film was directed by Geethu Mohandas, who also collaborated with Yash on the screenplay.
The plot of the film is set in an earlier time and takes place in the idyllic coastal setting of Goa. It narrates the story of a formidable drug cartel that operates behind the scenic vistas of sunny beaches and the region’s rich cultural backdrop.
Ahmad Golchin, CEO and Founder of Phars Films, expressed his company’s intention with Toxic by stating, “Our aim with Toxic was to craft a narrative that transcends geographical boundaries. We are excited to present this movie to a global audience and anticipate its universal themes to resonate across different cultures.”

The film’s technical crew features Rajeev Ravi as the cinematographer, with Ravi Basrur providing the musical score and Ujwal Kulkarni handling the editing. The production design was orchestrated by TP Abid.
