FilmSharks Locks Deal With Federation For A French Remake Of German Comedy ‘No Hit Wonder’ — Cannes Market

Exclusive Film Deal Announced at Cannes Market

FilmSharks has successfully secured a deal during the Cannes Market with Federation Films’ division Habanita Federation for a French adaptation of the German comedic film No Hit Wonder.

Originally produced by Warner Bros Germany and Pantaleon, No Hit Wonder made its debut at the Rotterdam Film Festival this year and was released in Germany by Warner Bros last year.

The storyline of No Hit Wonder centers around a singer who once enjoyed brief fame but has since fallen into obscurity. After an unsuccessful attempt to end his life, he finds himself in a mental health facility. The film’s synopsis outlines his new routine, which involves engaging in therapy sessions and various unusual activities, prompting him to confront a significant question: Who is he if his past success no longer defines him? This introspection kicks off a profound journey of recovery and self-discovery.

The cast of the film includes notable actors such as Florian David Fitz, known from Jesus Loves Me, Nora Tschirner from Keinohrhasen, Udo Samel of Europa Europa fame, and Corinna Kirchhoff, known for her role in Paradise. The movie was directed by Florian Dietrich, with Florian David Fitz also contributing as the screenwriter. The production team comprised Dan Maag, Daniel Sonnabend, Marco Beckmann, and Alexander Dreissig.

Federico Pascua from FilmSharks expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Federation, describing it as one of the most engaging and innovative labels to partner with. He highlighted their keen understanding and enthusiasm for the project’s concept and vision.
