Timothée Chalamet’s New Alien Sci-Fi Extravaganza: Universal Drops “Not Alone” Trailer!

Universal Officially Reveals Timothée Chalamet’s New Alien Sci-Fi Movie In Not Alone Trailer

Timothée Chalamet is venturing into the cosmos in the newly released trailer for his upcoming movie.

Fresh from a whirlwind awards season highlighted by an Oscar nomination for his role as Marty Mauser in Marty Supreme, and victories at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, Chalamet is set to appear in Dune: Part Three this December. He will also be featured in the animated film Not Alone, scheduled for release in April 2027.

The initial teaser for the animated feature Not Alone was recently unveiled. This latest cinematic venture from Universal and Illumination features the voices of Chalamet and Selena Gomez. The film is poised for release in April 2027.

In the movie, Chalamet and Gomez voice characters who are a rocket mechanic and an astro-botanist, respectively. Their characters, Joe and Fran, collaborate on the launch event for a rocket powered by plants, sparking a budding relationship. Suddenly, their plans take a wild turn when a band of fugitive aliens seeks refuge in Joe’s home and sees the rocket as a potential means of escape.

Watch the teaser trailer for Not Alone below:

The trailer kicks off with Joe starting his day to the tune of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity”. Upon arriving at work, he and Fran exchange covert glances. A mishap occurs while working on the rocket when Joe drops a fastener, prompting Fran to assist him. This interaction leaves Joe visibly flustered, which Fran finds “adorable.” Despite Joe’s denial, Fran teases, “I didn’t take you for a blusher.”

Later, as Fran walks away, Joe invites her to join him for lunch, to which she suggests dinner instead, signaling the start of their date. While their personal connection deepens, they face turmoil at work when they learn of a potential collision involving their rocket. Holding hands in anticipation, they watch as a spaceship makes a dramatic landing on Earth, concluding the trailer with a scene where three small aliens confront a bewildered Joe.

Recently, Mario was issued on Blu-ray and DVD and will be available for streaming on Peacock by the end of July.

Looking ahead, Illumination will release Minions & Monsters on July 1, with Chalamet’s Not Alone following next year.

Not Alone is set to hit theaters on Friday, April 16, 2027.
