A murder investigation has been launched after police discovered a body while providing aid to a suspected robbery victim.
Avon and Somerset Police were called to the Royal Grosvenor Hotel in Weston-super-Mare just after 4.15am on Monday after receiving reports of a robbery.
Officers spoke to a man they believed to be the victim and accompanied him to an address on Upper Church Road, where they found a seriously injured man at the property.
Rescue workers, including paramedics, attempted resuscitation, but death was pronounced at the scene.
Two men, both in their 40s, were arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital with injuries. They have since been released and are currently in police custody.

House-to-house interviews have been taking place as officers review CCTV footage, while a large police cordon remains in place at the hotel and Upper Church Road.
As part of their investigation, police have asked residents of Knightstone Road, Lower Church Road, Lovers Walk, South Terrace, Park Place, Royal Crescent, Upper Church Road, Raglan Place, Greenfields Place and Victoria Park to leave their bins outside.
Inspector Graeme Hall said: “This is a tragic incident in which a man has lost his life. Although our investigation is at a very early stage, we do not believe there is any major risk to the public.
“We know that while these incidents are incredibly rare, they can be disturbing and cause concern in the community.”
“To reassure residents, neighborhood officers have increased their patrols in the area and we would encourage people to contact them if they have any questions.”
