In an alternate universe where the writers’ and actors’ strikes were quickly resolved, we’d be just weeks away Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, supposedly the last official entry in the DC Extended Universe, which has filled multiplexes with stories about DC’s superheroes over the last decade. Originally launched under the creative direction of director Zack Snyder, the DCEU became a polarizing force in the world of comic book movies and has been effectively dead for at least a year since DC hired James Gunn and Peter Safran to take over as Co-CEOs of the studio and begin planning a new film universe.

That universe is still over a year away, as Gunn and Safran prepare their projects and DC releases the final films developed under the previous regime, including Aquaman and the Lost Kingdomwhich was recently postponed from December 2023 to March 2024. In the meantime, however, you can watch at least eight different DCEU films, all streaming on Netflix starting December 1st.

The titles that will be available on Netflix are:

  • man of Steel
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
  • Suicide Squad
  • Wonder Woman
  • Justice League
  • birds of prey
  • Wonder Woman 1984
  • The Suicide Squad

The eight films appearing on Netflix make up 61 percent of the total DCEU so far. (The missing titles are Shazam!, Black Adam, Shazam! Rage of the godsThe Flash and Blue beetlePlus Zack Snyder’s Justice League (if you count that as a separate film.) All eight DC films coming to Netflix next month are currently streaming on Max at the time of writing.

If the Aquaman Since the sequel hit theaters on time, this would have been a nice addition. Instead, Aquaman And the lost kingdom is now scheduled to hit theaters in March. This means that these DC movies are just hanging out on Netflix, not tied to anything in particular. But if you have Netflix and Max doesn’t, here’s your chance to watch Joss Whedon’s segment Justice League in an endless loop at a low monthly price. Wait, where are you going? Was it something I said? Come back!
