In a recent move, Elon Musk-led Company X, formerly Twitter, launched a feature to post job vacancies for verified organizations on the microblogging platform. X Hiring official account posted an update on the social media platform to announce the same. The feature is “exclusively” available to verified organizations and is currently in beta.

In a post, the company said: “Unlock early access to the X Hiring Beta – exclusively for verified organizations. Feature your key roles and organically reach millions of relevant candidates.” According to the screenshot shared alongside the tweet, the listings will be placed in the “We’re Hiring” section, located under the company account bio. These job postings direct potential candidates to their preferred organization’s website, where they can learn more about the position and submit an application. The feature will reportedly be available to premium users for a monthly payment of US$1,000 (Rs 82,300).
The billionaire hinted at rolling out the feature in May. Responding to a user’s suggestion that Twitter include dating services, Mr Musk said: “Interesting idea, maybe jobs too.” This also appears to be a step towards the platform becoming the go-to-all app, as Elon Musk previously explained.
According to a July report in TechCrunch, Twitter has made its first acquisition since Mr. Musk, a job-matching tech start-up called Laskie, bought the platform in May. It’s likely that the acquisition helped the company develop and release the new feature. US-based media company WorkWeek has been using the feature for a month. Its CEO Adam Ryan took to the platform to share the new feature and took a peek at Mark Zuckerberg’s newly launched Twitter rivals threads.

We have just been granted access to post job vacancies on our Company Page. Considering we hired more than 20 people from Twitter.” “It goes without saying,” he said in a month-old tweet. However, he also mentioned at the time that there was no additional fee for listing jobs in the company profile and that this was “included in the package of a paid account”.
