Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Leo’ will release on the OTT platform this week. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action-packed film hit theaters on October 19 and is expected to cross the ₹600-crore mark at the box office. The film’s collection might get a boost during the Diwali holidays.

According to early reports from India.com, ‘Leo’ will be released on OTT platform ‘Netflix’ on November 16 after the fourth week of its release. However, there is no official confirmation from the filmmakers. It was reported that the filmmakers have signed a major deal with Netflix and will release the film on OTT after a four-week theatrical release.

Previously, November 21st was set as the date for the OTT release, which has now been pushed to November 16th as per the latest reports.

The Tamil action thriller is one of the biggest grossers at both the Indian and Kollywood box office with worldwide box office collections of up to ₹598 crore. The film may soon surpass Rajinikanth’s Jailer’s global collection of ₹605 crore.

The film has so far grossed ₹336.88 crore nett in India and is one of the biggest Tamil hits of the year, according to industry expert Sacnilk. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is among the top twenty blockbusters in India.

Leo experienced a huge drop in earnings from October 30th after seeing a sharp increase in earnings over the Week 2 weekend. Leo’s total weekend box office collection was ₹78.1 crore in week 1, while it collected ₹31.55 crore in week 2 and in week 3, the film grossed ₹8.6 crore.

Leo’s cast includes Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan and Arjun Sarja with Vijay in the lead role. Leo is available in multiple languages ​​including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film grossed ₹64.8 crore on its opening day, marking a good start at the box office. Seven Screen Studio’s production grossed ₹148.50 crore at the worldwide box office on its first day, marking the biggest opening for a Tamil film in both the domestic and international markets, far surpassing all previous records.
