7 arrested from Vadodara flat under Prohibition Act

Police have arrested seven people, including four women, under Prohibition Act after busting an alleged liquor party early morning Thursday in a residential colony on the Dabhoi-Waghodia ring road in Vadodara.

The Panigate police received a complaint through the control room after which they conducted a raid at 5am at a flat. According to the FIR, the seven persons were “intoxicated and talking in a slurred speech” when the personnel raided the house, where a “non-veg party along with Indian Made Foreign Liquor” was underway.

The police have seized mobile phones, utensils, empty liquor bottles and other miscellaneous items worth Rs 1.02 lakh. The tenant who had taken the flat on rent was also among the arrested, the police said.
