Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan’s daughter Aaradhaya moves HC against YouTube channel for peddling fake news about her health
Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, 11, has filed a case against a YouTube channel for deliberately peddling fake news about her health. The case will be heard in the Delhi High Court today.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s granddaughter Aaradhaya filed the case against the YouTube tabloid after it published a fake video news story about her health and life. She has sought an injunction against such reporting as she is a minor. The petition also asks 10 entities to “de-list and deactivate all videos” about her. Other parties to the case include Google and the grievance cell of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Bachchan family has not commented about the matter.
Last year, speaking to indianexpress.com, Abhishek Bachchan had spoken about Aaradhya’s photos and videos being circulated on social media. Dismissing that some of them were leaked from her school, he said, “You’ll shoot her whenever she steps out of the house. It is what it is. There is no point analysing it. She is the daughter of two actors, the granddaughter of actors as well. Her mother teaches her to be very thankful and humble about the fact that people will want to see her, appreciate that and don’t take it as a privilege. And know that in time to come, as and when and if you become a professional in this sphere, you have to work very hard. My wife had told me about it when she (Aaradhya) was much younger that it is going to happen any which way, so we got to accept it.”
Aaradhya Bachchan attended the launch of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s opening in Mumbai, with her mother Aishwarya Bachchan. The child often accompanies her mother to public events and has learnt to even pose for cameras. At the event, paparazzi requested Aaradhya to pose for solo photos, but Aishwarya stepped in and said she’s too young for that. Fans had lauded the actor then for keeping things balanced for her daughter.
