Earlier he used to manage team, this year he’s also managing himself: Sanjay Manjrekar on MS Dhoni

Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar praised Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni for the way he’s managing his teammates, as well as himself because the knee injury seems to be pestering him constantly.

“MS Dhoni is a clever cricketer. He knows his limitations. We are seeing a new avatar of him this season. Earlier, he used to manage the team, this year, he’s also managing himself,” Manjrekar told Start Sports.

Dhoni completed 200 matches as captain of CSK in the match against Rajasthan Royals in Chennai on April 12, which they lost by three runs. The 41-year-old former India captain was the first player to achieve the feat in IPL history.

Dhoni’s CSK have won the IPL title four times.

Chennai will host Punjab Kings at Chepauk with the MS Dhoni-led side will be aiming to return to winning ways after facing a big defeat in Jaipur.

Punjab Kings also suffered a big defeat against Lucknow Super Giants in a high-scoring game at home in their previous encounter on captain Shikhar Dhawan’s return.
