Mumbai: Bandra, Khar to experience low water pressure for a day next week

The Bandra and Khar areas under the H/West (H/W) ward of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will experience low water pressure from May 4 to 5, the civic body said in a statement Saturday.

The BMC said it will divert a 900 mm water inlet supply network in Mahim in view of the impending construction work for expanding the bridge above Mahim Khadi. The inlet alignment will have to be diverted to prevent permanent damage to the supply network. The work for diverting the inlet will be taken up Thursday and during this period the supply system will be affected.

“All the areas in Bandra and Khar will receive low water pressure from 10 am on Thursday (May 4) to 4 am on Friday (May 5). Therefore, local residents are being urged to use water cautiously,” said the BMC
