Rekha and Kabir Bedi share a ‘nostalgic chat’ as they reunite 35 years after Khoon Bhari Maang
Rekha and Kabir Bedi came together on screen 35 years ago in Rakesh Roshan’s Khoon Bhari Maang. And while they were nowhere close to an ideal couple in that movie, their recent photo shared by Kabir has sent fans down memory lane.
Kabir shared the photo with the caption, “Met the legendary, ever gorgeous REKHA, my co-star in ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’, at the 68th @filmfare Awards last night.”
Kabir also shared that he and his wife Parveen Dusanj had a “a nostalgic chat” with Rekha. Looking at the picture, fans were reminded of the film that has now become a cult classic and had become a turning point in both the actor’s careers as Rekha made her comeback with Rakesh Roshan’s directorial.
Fans poured in their love for the duo. One fan reminisced about how the 1988 film was a hit in Russia, the wrote, “Nice, I watched in my childhood many of your films but one was a hit in USSR, Khoon Bhari Maang where you both with Rekha Ji acted. It was a huge hit also in Armenia, watched many times in our village cinema. Thank you.” Another fan remembered a bloody scene from the movie where Kabir’s character threw Rekha’s character in a water body and wrote, “She is remarkably forgiving considering you almost fed her to the crocodiles.”
Bedi, in a tweet in 2021 had shared “incredible memories” from Khoon Bhari Maang. He had written, “Incredible memories of Khoon Bhari Maang come back on its 33rd anniversary. Rakesh Roshan called me back from Honolulu, where I was shooting Magnum P.I. with Tom Selleck. It became a blockbuster hit Great memories of Rakesh, Rekha, Shatrughan Sinha & Sonu Walia🙏 #KhoonBhariMaang.”
