The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports that five people were killed by Israeli forces in the Nur Al Shams refugee camp.

At least nine Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry, as violence increases during Israel’s ongoing assault on the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to the ministry, at least 75 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops or settlers in the West Bank since the Gaza war broke out on October 7.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians during raids on Thursday at the Nur Al Shams refugee camp in the city of Tulkarem.

Health officials said one of the victims was a 16-year-old boy.

The Israeli military said in a statement that it “continues to operate in the region.” [Nur Al Shams] Camp to Prevent Terrorist Activities”.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said its doctors had treated 25 people in Nur Shams, most of them for gunshot wounds.

“Ambulances are being detained by the occupying forces, in which there are injured people,” the organization said in a statement.

Two more Palestinians were killed in separate incidents in the Dheisheh refugee camp and the city of Budrus, the ministry said.

Israeli forces have expanded raids in Palestinian towns and villages and carried out a sweeping arrest campaign in the occupied West Bank, where Palestinians protested in solidarity with Gaza.

Israel began its attack on Gaza after the Palestinian group Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, launched a brutal attack on southern Israel that killed at least 1,400 people and captured more than 200 others.

Since then, Israel has imposed a “full siege” on Gaza, cutting off access to water, food, electricity and fuel for Gaza’s 2.3 million residents and relentlessly bombing the area. At least 3,785 people were killed in the attack, according to Palestinian health authorities.

Protests across the West Bank – which grew increasingly violent after reports of an explosion at a hospital in Gaza that Palestinian authorities said killed hundreds of people on Tuesday – were also directed against the Palestinian Authority (PA), which has long been Security coordination with Israel is criticized because of its policy.

PA security forces used tear gas and stun grenades on Tuesday to disperse protesters calling for the overthrow of President Mahmoud Abbas.

Israeli authorities have arrested more than 600 people in the occupied West Bank since fighting began. Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem also warned of increasing harassment from Israeli settlers and security forces.
