Apple TV’s ‘Criminal Record’ Season 2 Reveals First Look & Premiere Date

Apple TV has recently unveiled a glimpse of the upcoming second season of the popular suspense series Criminal Record, featuring stars Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo. Scroll down for additional images.

The premiere of Criminal Record Season 2 is set for April 22. Following Apple TV’s typical release strategy for thrillers, new episodes will be available weekly, concluding on June 10.

The brainchild of Paul Rutman, Criminal Record Season 2 brings back Capaldi as Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty and Jumbo as Detective Sergeant June Lenker. The plot thickens when a young man is fatally stabbed during a political gathering, compelling the once-rival detectives to form a tentative partnership. Their initial investigation into the murder soon spirals into a covert mission aimed at thwarting a menacing far-right bombing scheme in London.

The series welcomes new members to its cast this season, including Dustin Demri-Burns, Luca Pasqualino, Luther Ford, Lyndsey Marshall, and Peter Sullivan, who will star alongside returning cast members such as Shaun Dooley, Stephen Campbell Moore, and Charlie Creed-Miles.

Joining other successful Apple TV UK projects like Slow Horses and Bad Sisters, Criminal Record has emerged as a standout show. It is produced by Tod Productions and STV Studios, with Elaine Collins, Rutman, Capaldi, and Jumbo serving as executive producers. Direction for the series is handled by Ben A. Williams and Joelle Mae David.
