The Highlander footage captures a scene outside the Tower of London with Cavill’s character riding a motorcycle and navigating through city streets, where he appears to be struck by a car at one moment.
In the Highlander film, Irons plays the evil leader of the Watchers. Additionally, the movie features another DCEU reunion: Russell Crowe, who portrayed Superman’s father Jor-El in the 2013 film, will appear as Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, a mentor to Cavill’s Connor MacLeod. The film is directed by Chad Stahelski, with a script penned by Kerry Williamson and Mike Finch.
The cast also includes a reunion from the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista and Karen Gillan, who reprise their roles as Drax and Nebula, respectively, in James Gunn’s superhero series. WWE’s Drew McIntyre is cast as Angus MacLeod, Connor’s brother.
Siobhán Cullen, Jun Jong-seo, Nassim Lyes, and Kevin McKidd have also been cast in Highlander, alongside Marisa Abela and Djimon Hounsou.
Amazon MGM Studios’ Highlander has yet to announce a release date.
