Leaving KPMG to Pursue Poetry in India
I made the bold decision to resign from my position at KPMG, seeking a more fulfilling life beyond the constraints of a typical nine-to-five. The monotony of waiting for weekends to enjoy life had become unbearable. My new aspiration was to explore the rich tapestry of life as a poet in India, a place vibrant with culture and inspiration. The corporate world, with its rigid structures, was stifling my creative spirit, and I longed for the freedom to express myself and live fully every day of the week.
Embracing a New Chapter
The shift from being an employee at a renowned global firm to embracing the uncertain path of poetry was daunting yet exhilarating. India, with its diverse landscapes and profound historical heritage, promised a wellspring of creative inspiration. The decision to move wasn’t made lightly, but the potential to engage deeply with my passions and discover a new way of life was compelling.
In India, every day is a new verse, an opportunity to soak in the surroundings and translate emotions and experiences into poetry. This move was not just a change of location but a profound transformation in lifestyle and perspective. It was about breaking free from the weekly cycle and integrating my passions into my daily existence.
This journey is a testament to the power of following one’s dreams and the beauty of reinventing oneself. It’s about living authentically and finding joy in the pursuits that resonate most deeply with one’s soul.
