The images highlight Brown’s character, Enola, in dynamic scenarios: sneaking a look around a corner, escaping amidst a backdrop of fire, adorned in a bridal veil, relaxing against a rock next to Tewkesbury, and perusing outside a bookstore alongside her brother, Sherlock Holmes, portrayed by Cavill.

The Enola Holmes series, inspired by Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes Mysteries books, focuses on the adventures of Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister. The original film, released in 2020, saw Enola unraveling a startling plot while searching for her absent mother.
The sequel, Enola Holmes 2, released in 2022, follows Enola as she assists her first client through her newly established detective agency, encountering scandals and conspiracies involving political figures. Both entries have received high praise on Rotten Tomatoes, scoring 91% and 93% respectively.
It has been six years since Enola was first introduced to Netflix audiences, and in the upcoming film, she contemplates her future desires, as Millie Bobby Brown discussed in an interview with Tudum. “I think many can relate to the feeling of achieving something and then questioning, ‘Who am I now?’” she explained.
As Brown has matured alongside her character, the themes of self-discovery in the film resonate deeply with her personally. The relationship between Enola and Tewkesbury also sees growth, moving towards a more mature phase, as Brown revealed that Enola Holmes 3 would “explore a deeper aspect of their bond.”
Previously, the pair’s interaction had a lighter, more playful tone. Now, however, there’s significant depth, allowing for more emotional risks and developments within their storyline.
Philip Barantini, known for directing and executive producing the acclaimed Netflix series Adolescence, steps in as the director for Enola Holmes 3, taking over from Harry Bradbeer. Screenwriter Jack Thorne returns to craft the screenplay.
Millie Bobby Brown, concurrently known for her role in the critically acclaimed Stranger Things, which concluded in December 2025, has been involved with the Enola Holmes films from their inception. Her filmography also includes titles like Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, Damsel, and The Electric State. In addition to acting, Brown also serves as an executive producer on the third Enola Holmes film. Stars such as Helena Bonham Carter, Louis Partridge, Himesh Patel, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster join her and Cavill in the cast.
