New Cast Members Join “Heated Rivalry” Season 2
Daniel Diemer and Shaheen Jafargholi have been announced as the newest additions to the cast of “Heated Rivalry” for its second season.
Daniel Diemer, known for his role in “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” will portray the character Ryan Price, while Shaheen Jafargholi, previously seen in “War,” will take on the role of Fabian Salah. They are set to star alongside Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Justice Smith, and Charlie Gillespie, who have already been confirmed as lead actors for the upcoming season, slated for release in the spring of 2027.
The season will also feature Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, and Sabrina Jalees, enhancing the ensemble of the provocative LGBTQIA drama produced by the Canadian streaming service Crave and available through HBO in the United States.
“The characters of Fabian and Ryan introduce unique dynamics to the narrative crafted by Rachel Reid,” shared Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady from Accent Aigu Entertainment, the co-creators of “Heated Rivalry.” “Their complex, bold, and enthralling nature required us to find actors who could embody these multifaceted traits effectively.”
“Daniel and Shaheen not only embody these characters with authenticity and emotional depth but also bring a palpable confidence to their performances. We are eager for the audience to see how they bring Fabian and Ryan to life and make these roles distinctly their own,” they added.
The initial season of “Heated Rivalry” achieved remarkable success, becoming the highest-rated acquisition in the history of HBO. Following this triumph, Bell Media’s Crave has greenlit a second season, supported by the Canada Media Fund (CMF). Jacob Tierney returns as writer, director, and executive producer for this season, with Brendan Brady and Jayme Alter Wilson also continuing as executive producers. Lori Fischburg and Liane Cunje are on board as producers, with Rachel Reid, the original author of the “Heated Rivalry” books, serving as a consulting producer. Mike Goldbach joins as a co-writer for the new season.

The international distribution of the series is handled by Bell’s Sphere Abacus, which has successfully marketed it globally.
Regarding representation, Daniel Diemer is managed by Atlas Artists, Nuance Management, Gersh Agency, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Krintzman, Rubenstein, Kohner, Endlich, Goodell & Gellman. Shaheen Jafargholi is represented by Simon Grant Jones.
