Sandra Bullock has effectively quelled speculation about her teaming up with Keanu Reeves for an upcoming project anytime soon.
Both actors first appeared together in the 1994 action thriller Speed, and subsequently co-starred in the 2006 romantic fantasy The Lake House. In 2025, there emerged rumors that Bullock and Reeves would come together for a romantic thriller penned by Noah Oppenheim and produced by Mark Gordon.
At the premiere of Practical Magic 2, when Entertainment Tonight inquired about a potential third collaboration during an interview with Bullock, host Kevin Frazier mentioned that Reeves, who was in Las Vegas at the time, hinted at reuniting with her for a new project. However, Bullock quickly dismissed the idea of any confirmed projects.
Bullock expressed a continuous hope to work with Reeves again, but confirmed that currently, “there’s nothing yet.” She nostalgically referenced their past works, Speed and The Lake House, stating, “We’ll always have a mailbox and a bus.“

Although Reeves seemed to hint at something in Las Vegas, Bullock remains tight-lipped, suggesting either the absence of concrete plans or the need for secrecy if plans are indeed in place.
In Speed, their first film together, Reeves portrayed an LAPD officer who teams up with Bullock’s character, Annie Porter, to save a bus full of passengers from a bomb. Released in June 1994 and directed by Jan de Bont, the film was a commercial success, grossing $350 million and earning a 95% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It received accolades for Best Sound and Best Sound Effects Editing at the Oscars, with an additional nomination for Best Film Editing.
The sequel, Speed 2: Cruise Control, released by 20th Century Fox in 1997, however, did not fare well, garnering a meager 4% on Rotten Tomatoes and grossing $164.5 million. It received several Razzie nominations and won Worst Remake or Sequel. While Bullock reprised her role with de Bont returning as director, Reeves did not participate.
The Lake House, on the other hand, featured Reeves and Bullock exchanging letters across time. The film made $114.8 million in 2006 but was not well-received by critics, holding a 36% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
As of now, 20 years after their last joint film, Bullock confirms there are no imminent plans for another collaboration, though the possibility remains open, countering any current rumors or confirmed reports of a reunion.
