New Installments of “No One Will Miss Us” Heading to Prime Video
Prime Video has confirmed that the popular Mexican young adult series “No One Will Miss Us,” originally titled “Nadie Nos Va a Extrañar,” will return for a third season. This announcement was made at the IberSeries event in Madrid, a gathering where Mexico was featured prominently this year.
During a panel hosted by Amazon MGM Studios at the conference, Camila Misas, who is the Head of Local Originals in Mexico for Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, shared the exciting news.

Misas expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, “Following the great success of the second season of ‘Nadie Nos Va a Extrañar,’ we are thrilled to confirm that the third season will start production in the first quarter of 2027.” She added, “The new season will introduce fresh faces and new narratives, under the direction of Samuel Kishi. Silvana Aguirre will return as the showrunner, with Adriana Pelusi and Gibrán Portela continuing their roles as scriptwriters.”
The announcement was evidently well-planned, as cast members from the show began sharing the news on their social media platforms immediately after the new season was confirmed.

The series “No One Will Miss Us” features actors such as Nicolás Haza, Camila Calónico, Virgilio Delgado, and Macarena Oz. Set in the 1990s, the dramedy centers around a group of high school outcasts who start a business doing homework and school assignments for their classmates for money. This enterprise eventually elevates their social status among their peers.

The show is produced by The Immigrant, a production company founded in 2019 by former Univision executive Camila Jiménez-Villa and “El Chapo” creator Silvana Aguirre. The company is partially supported by Fremantle.
According to an initial report by Deadline in 2024, the show was first announced that year and quickly followed by a second season due to its popularity. “No One Will Miss Us” has been a hit on Prime Video, consistently ranking in the Top 10 for Mexico.
