Billy Zane Stars in New Thriller ‘Milliseconds’: A Riveting Neo Noir Experience!

Billy Zane, John Billingsley, Scottie Thompson & Bonnie Root Set For Philippe Caland’s Neo Noir Thriller ‘Milliseconds’

EXCLUSIVE: Billy Zane (Titanic), John Billingsley (Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey), Scottie Thompson (NCIS), and Bonnie Root (Don’t Let Them Out) are on board for Philippe Caland’s latest project, a neo-noir thriller titled Milliseconds.

Described as a complex mystery, the film revolves around a reclusive ex-painter who gets involved in a case through a suicide hotline, uncovering deeply buried connections and secrets from the past.

The ensemble is rounded out by Elijah Lynn Langston in his first movie role, Kevin Ryan (Harry Wild, The Rainmaker), Don Wallace, and Jason Lee Daniel.

Production will be led by Caland under his Junto House Films label, together with co-producers Root and Cynthia Bravo. Billy Zane will also have a hand in the production as an executive producer. The team includes cinematographer Gonzalo Digenio.

Filming is set to take place in Los Angeles, capturing expansive city views, notable architectural sites, and a setting in the fire-damaged area of Alta Dena.

Caland expressed his intrigue with the transformative power of art and creativity in revealing one’s true self. Milliseconds delves into themes such as loss, grief, ruin, change, life and death, rebirth, and the personal narratives and belief systems that can bind us.

This film marks Caland’s sixth directorial endeavor following titles like Hollywood Buddha, Ripple Effect, The Guru and the Gypsy, and Repentance, which he also wrote and produced.

Caland initially gained prominence as a writer and producer with Jennifer Lynch’s Boxing Helena and went on to produce films such as Dead Girl, Infinity, and Loved.

Billy Zane is renowned for his portrayal of Cal Hockley in Titanic, his role in Dead Calm, and as the lead in The Phantom. With a career spanning over 100 films, he has also been a prolific producer and recently played Marlon Brando in Waltzing with Brando. He is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency.
