Jess Khanom & Rosemond Perdue Launch Rock And Rose Studios

Introducing Rock And Rose Studios

EXCLUSIVE: The global television industry welcomes its latest addition with the establishment of Rock And Rose Studios, co-founded by Jess Khanom and Rosemond Perdue.

Jess Khanom, formerly associated with Warner Bros. International TV Production, Fox, and Argonon, alongside Rosemond Perdue, the entrepreneur behind Breakthrough Now! Media, have established their new venture with operational hubs in both London and Los Angeles. These bases will spearhead the creative development, rights management, and multi-platform distribution of their original intellectual properties (IP).

Funded by private investors, Rock And Rose Studios aims to prioritize intellectual property as the core of its content development strategy. The studio has been discreetly accumulating a diverse portfolio, focusing on sports content, narratives led by women, and adaptations of webtoons. They are reportedly collaborating with several prominent international television entities, with more updates expected to be announced shortly.

“Original IP is crucial for achieving global recognition and sustained business growth, especially in today’s market,” Khanom explained. “Our goal transcends beyond mere content production; we are in the business of building brands through compelling storytelling.”

Perdue emphasized the studio’s commitment to dynamic storytelling with a worldwide appeal, stating, “Rock And Rose is designed to support visionary storytelling that captivates global audiences and engages them across all platforms.”

Khanom’s career trajectory began at Warner Bros. in the UK, where she was involved in distributing studio shows across Central and Eastern Europe, and Russia. She then transitioned to Outright Distribution, a division of Shed Media, which was later acquired by Warner Bros. in October 2010. She spent six years as a sales director at Warner Bros. International Television Production, followed by a role as Global Head of Format Sales at Twentieth Century Fox, and then as Managing Director at Argonon International. In July 2018, she took up the role of Senior VP of APAC at NENT Studios UK, now part of Viaplay, before freelancing and eventually co-founding Rock And Rose.

Perdue’s background includes founding and managing Bungalow 3, an L.A.-based entertainment marketing and production company, from 1998 to 2010. During her tenure, she collaborated with industry giants like Sony, CBS, and Disney, producing trailers, booth reels, presentations, and promos. She also co-created the MTV series Fast Inc. and produced Lifetime’s Mommy Madness. After a period of freelancing, Perdue joined the format seller Small World IFT as VP of Business Development, before establishing Breakthrough Now! Media, which aimed to strengthen ties between content industries in the U.S., Japan, and Korea.
