Netflix’s Latest Fantasy Blockbuster Skyrockets into Top Viewed List: Dominates in Just 2 Months!

Netflix's New Fantasy Movie Officially Cracks Most-Viewed Elite List In Just 2 Months

Netflix has recently added another blockbuster to its list of all-time most popular films.

While Netflix boasts a broad array of acclaimed licensed films, it’s the Netflix Original movies that capture most of the attention. The platform has generated numerous hits in various genres, including sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and action. Among these, the sci-fi action thriller War Machine, starring Reacher actor Alan Ritchson, recently climbed to the 9th position on Netflix’s list of most-watched movies ever. Now, another big hit from 2026 has joined this elite ranking.

Netflix has officially announced that Swapped has become the 10th most-watched film in the history of the platform. It edged out The Gray Man, a film by the Russo Brothers featuring Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling, which had previously occupied that spot. Swapped accumulated 139.8 million views in just 82 days, surpassing The Gray Man which had 139.3 million views in its first 91 days.

Released on Netflix on May 1, Swapped achieved this significant milestone by July 30, making it one of the fastest climbs in the platform’s ranking history. It still has the potential to rise higher before its 91-day tracking window closes, possibly outperforming other close contenders like War Machine, Leave the World Behind, and Back in Action.

In response to this achievement, Director Nathan Greno expressed his gratitude, stating, “Swapped becoming one of Netflix’s ten most popular films of all time is an incredible honor. Thanks to audiences worldwide who embraced our film. The success of Swapped underscores our message that we are stronger together, and it’s rewarding to see this resonate so deeply globally.”

For Swapped to surpass War Machine, which currently holds the 9th spot with 139.9 million views, it needs less than a million additional views. Surpassing Julia Roberts’ Leave the World Behind, which stands at 143.4 million views, and Back in Action, which ended its 91-day window with 147.2 million views, would be more challenging, requiring several million more views.

Swapped is now the second animated film to make it into Netflix’s top movie chart, sitting just behind KPop Demon Hunters, which leads with an impressive 325.1 million views—the only Netflix film to break the 300 million mark so far. The favorable reception of Swapped has broken multiple records for Netflix.

The film, which features a woodland creature and a bird who are natural enemies swapping bodies to save their magical valley, has received a solid 68% critics’ score and an impressive 87% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Although a sequel to Swapped has not yet been announced, the film’s success may well pave the way for future developments.
