Ghetts Exits Netflix Series Supacell Following Legal Troubles

The British rapper and actor Ghetts will not be returning for the second season of the Netflix series Supacell, following his involvement in a fatal hit-and-run accident.

While Ghetts’ participation in the upcoming season of Supacell had not been officially confirmed, sources close to the production have now clarified that he will not continue his role in the popular TV drama. The series is currently being filmed in the United Kingdom.

During a court session at the Old Bailey on Monday, Ghetts admitted to the charge of causing death by dangerous driving. The court proceeding was conducted via a video link from Pentonville prison, where he is being held.

According to the Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred on October 18, when Ghetts was driving his BMW at speeds exceeding twice the legal limit of 30mph in London. He struck 20-year-old Yubin Tamang, who was crossing the street at the time. Ghetts did not stop after the accident. He was arrested at his home four hours later. Tragically, Tamang succumbed to his injuries two days later in the hospital. Ghetts is scheduled for sentencing on February 12.

Uncertainty Surrounds Ghetts’ Character in Supacell

The fate of Ghetts’ character, Krazy, in Supacell was left uncertain at the end of the first season. The character, who played an antagonist, was seemingly shot, though his death was not explicitly confirmed on screen.

Supacell has gained significant attention since its debut, amassing over 450 million views on Netflix. The show, set in South London, revolves around a group of ordinary individuals who unexpectedly acquire superpowers.
