Exclusive Reveal: SXSW London’s Highlight Event

EXCLUSIVE: The debut of the SXSW London Screen Festival will feature the world premiere of the Amazon crime-comedy Deep Cover, with a star-studded cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, Nick Mohammed, and Sean Bean.

Under the direction of Tom Kingsley, the movie introduces Bryce Dallas Howard as Kat, an improv comedy instructor struggling with doubts about her professional achievements. Her life takes a dramatic turn when an undercover detective (played by Sean Bean) presents her with an extraordinary acting opportunity. To accomplish this, she must persuade two of her students (portrayed by Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed) to pose as hardened criminals within the treacherous underworld of London.

The cast also includes notable actors such as Paddy Considine, Sonoya Mizuno, and Ian McShane.

The creative team behind the film includes writers Derek Connolly, Colin Trevorrow, Ben Ashenden, and Alexander Owen, with production led by Colin Trevorrow, Walter F. Parkes, and Laurie MacDonald.

The grand premiere is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4th, serving as the centerpiece of the festival, which will run from June 2nd to June 7th in the vibrant Shoreditch area of London. The festival will conclude with Mike Flanagan’s film The Life Of Chuck, starring Tom Hiddleston.

The SXSW London event will not only focus on film but also encompass music and technology sectors. The festival is poised to announce its full film program shortly. Prominent figures such as Idris Elba, Deepak Chopra, Katherine Ryan, Wyclef Jean, Tems, Jenn Nkiru, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Joe Wicks have already been confirmed to speak at this inaugural event. It’s important to note that PMC, the parent company of Deadline, holds a significant stake in SXSW.
