Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie Future in Avengers: Doomsday Revealed by Marvel Star!

Whether Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie Will Appear In Avengers: Doomsday Addressed By Marvel Star

The expansive lineup of Avengers: Doomsday surprisingly omits several familiar faces, including Valkyrie, portrayed by Tessa Thompson. Since her debut in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, Thompson’s character has featured in Avengers: Endgame, Thor: Love & Thunder, and The Marvels.

While Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are set to return in Doomsday, Thompson remains conspicuously absent. In an interview with The Playlist, she remained elusive about her participation, stating: “Oh, [I’m] not able to confirm anything.” She neither confirmed nor denied her involvement in the upcoming Avengers installment but expressed her enjoyment of working within the Marvel universe.

Thompson appreciates the “coolest thing about being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the incredible people I get to collaborate with. This includes the talented craftspeople who build these worlds, the top-notch directors brought on board, and the phenomenal actors I work alongside,” she explained. “Moreover, Marvel films allow for a wide range of tones, from light-hearted to serious, which adds depth to the storytelling.”

Thompson also spoke about the diverse thematic elements present in MCU films, noting that they “cover a broad spectrum of drama and comedy, offering numerous creative possibilities.” Regarding her future as Valkyrie, she enthusiastically stated, “absolutely, I adore the character and would always be interested in returning.” Previously, the Creed actress hinted at a potential romantic subplot involving Valkyrie and Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel:

The heart wants what it wants. I can’t say much about Valkyrie’s love life as she’s been preoccupied with her kingly responsibilities. But the MCU is filled with intriguing prospects, including men, women, and beings from other dimensions. So, there are plenty of options. She’s single and open to relationships. Also, Brie Larson is a dear friend, and I enjoy our time together. A romance wouldn’t be disappointing,” she teased.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding her character’s future, Valkyrie remains a pivotal figure in the MCU, especially as the leader of New Asgard, and with both Thor and Loki returning in Doomsday.
