New Trailer Unveiled by Misia Films for Unique Short Film

Misia Films, a Paris-based production company, has just launched an intriguing new trailer for the film Two People Exchanging Saliva. This 36-minute short features notable performances by Zar Amir from Holy Spider, Luàna Bajrami of Portrait of a Lady on Fire fame, and Vicky Krieps, known for her role in Phantom Thread. Krieps not only stars in the film but also lends her voice as the narrator.

The film, penned and helmed by Alexandre Singh and Natalie Musteata, explores a dystopian queer romance set in a world where monetary transactions involve receiving slaps, and the act of kissing carries the penalty of death. The trailer reveals a stark punishment for those caught in acts of affection: they are sealed in a human-sized cardboard box and thrown into a pile with other discarded lovers.

The plot revolves around Angine, portrayed by Amir, a wealthy yet discontented shopper at a prestigious department store. It is here that she meets Malaise, played by Bajrami, a captivating salesgirl. Despite the risks, Angine is drawn to Malaise and contemplates breaking the societal ban on kissing. Together, they navigate their emerging romance amidst the watchful eyes of an envious coworker.
