Brian Geraghty has recently been added to the lineup for Matt Ross’ new crime thriller film, Kockroach, currently in production in Australia.

Geraghty joins a star-studded ensemble that includes Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, Alec Baldwin, and Rachel Sennott, whose participation had been confirmed earlier.

The movie adapts William Lashner’s novel from 2007, chronicling the ascent of an enigmatic figure who climbs the ranks of New York’s criminal hierarchy to establish himself as a formidable mob leader. The film’s direction is under the helm of Matt Ross, with Jonathan Ames responsible for the screenplay.

Geraghty’s most recent appearance was in the Taylor Sheridan-directed series 1923 for Paramount+, where he starred alongside Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

Moreover, Geraghty recently graced the stage at the 2025 Williamstown Theatre Festival performing in Tennessee Williams’ Not About Nightingales, where he acted alongside Chris Messina and William Jackson Harper.

In the realm of cinema, Geraghty is perhaps best recognized for his role as bomb-disposal expert Owen Eldridge in Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar-winning film The Hurt Locker, and his performance alongside Denzel Washington in Robert Zemeckis’ well-received drama Flight.

His additional movie roles include his part in the Sundance Film Festival’s premiere of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile alongside Zac Efron, Lily Collins, and John Malkovich; in Elias Daughdrill’s drama Faith; and in the indie film The Luckiest Man in America with Walton Goggins, Paul Walter Hauser, and David Strathairn.

Geraghty is currently represented by Gersh Agency and Anonymous Content.
