Aggy K Adams Joins New British Horror Film
EXCLUSIVE: Aggy K Adams, who gained fame from her standout performance in The Couple Next Door, has been cast in the upcoming British folk horror movie Deepest Darkest, directed and written by Florence Kosky.
In Deepest Darkest, Adams portrays Marianne, a young artist battling heartache and professional struggles, who seeks solace by retreating to the countryside with her closest friends—Lila (portrayed by Nell Williams of A24’s Huntington) and Betty (played by Jessamine-Bliss Bell from Bodies). The getaway, intended as a period of healing, takes a terrifying turn when an ancient force awakens beneath them, bringing long-buried secrets to the surface and threatening everyone’s safety. The film also features Alicia Davis (Two Neighbours) in a supporting role.
The screenplay for Deepest Darkest was co-written by Kosky and Justina Law. The production is being handled by Guy Davies of Zebrafish Media, known for works like Inland and As I Am, alongside Knoll Pictures. The shooting of the film is scheduled to commence this September across various locations in the UK.
Kosky, who has previously directed acclaimed shorts such as All The World’s A Stage with narration by Olivia Colman, and A Bit Of Fun, which was picked up by Arrow, brings a unique vision to this project. Her other notable work includes the short film Neither Seen Nor Heard.
Aside from her new role in Deepest Darkest, Adams is also recognized for her appearance in Netflix’s The Witcher. She is currently represented by Accelerate Management, MGMT Entertainment, and CLD Communications. Meanwhile, her co-stars Williams is managed by Curtis Brown, and Davis by Chapter Mgmt.
