Bell Media Strikes Co-Development Deal With Jae & Trey Richards’ Random Order Studios As Sky Secures ‘The Office Movers’ Deal

EXCLUSIVE: Bell Media of Canada has entered into a promising first-look and co-development agreement with the leading talents behind the Crave comedy series The Office Movers. Concurrently, the show has been acquired by Sky in the UK for distribution.

Details of the Collaboration

The collaboration involves Jermaine “Jae” Richards, Trevaunn “Trey” Richards, and executive producer Julian Lloyd from Random Order Studios. Together, they aim to craft narratives that are culturally relevant and resonate on a global scale. Bell Media’s Sphere Abacus will get the first opportunity to secure international distribution rights.

The comedic series The Office Movers stars the Richards brothers and draws inspiration from their real-life experiences working in their father’s moving company.

Sphere Abacus, responsible for distributing the series produced by Counterfeit Pictures, has successfully sold the first three seasons to Sky in the UK. This follows a previous acquisition by the same network of Crave’s hit series Heated Rivalry towards the end of 2025.

This deal is part of Bell’s ongoing strategy to forge similar partnerships, following previous collaborations with entities such as Point Grey Pictures, Lionsgate, Pageboy Productions, and Tom Green Productions Canada Inc.

The Richards Brothers: From Online Comedy to TV Stars

Originating from Toronto, the Richards brothers have built a substantial online following with their comedic content, amassing millions of views across their YouTube channels. They have connections with celebrities like Kevin Hart and Drake, the latter having participated in their sketches and even using one in his track “Mabida Riddim”. Drake also made a guest appearance in an episode of The Office Movers. Additionally, the duo hosts Random Order, a weekly podcast that features their humorous takes on pop culture, under the Headgum network.

Through their Random Order Studios, they are also involved in the Crave series Judge Tyco, a courtroom comedy that showcases trivial disputes overseen by the comical figure Tyco, deemed Toronto’s top goon.

The studio is actively developing a variety of content, including scripted and unscripted series, as well as branded content that emphasizes athlete and culture-driven stories. These projects are developed in collaboration with cultural production partners and global brands, aiming to merge internet culture with sports and television.
