About the Film
“Hola, ¿Qué Tal?” unfolds over a month leading up to a significant annual event for the Eventón agency and its client, Belleza Brava. Throughout this period, twenty interconnected characters navigate their lives within the confines of seven different bathrooms. These private settings strip away public facades, exposing their secrets, desires, fears, and personal stories, blurring the lines between the public and the private.
Gessa explained her artistic vision for the film, stating, “I chose the bathroom as a setting because it’s a universal space where people often reveal their true selves, thinking they’re unobserved. In ‘Hola, ¿Qué Tal?,’ these bathrooms become stages for transitions, confessions, and unexpected meetings, highlighting the moments when personal facades crumble and true selves are exposed.”
The film’s shooting schedule is set for the month of June. Gessa, known for her acting and directing talents, last showcased her directorial prowess with the short film “Una Conversación Pendiente,” which premiered at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival in March. “Hola, ¿Qué Tal?” marks her debut in directing a full-length feature film.
