Channing Tatum Declares Avengers: Doomsday the Movie of the Decade: “It Will Be Unmissable!”

Channing Tatum Hypes Up Avengers: Doomsday As The Biggest Movie "Of The Next 10 Years": "Everyone Is Going To See This Movie"

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is gearing up for an exciting reunion of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes with the upcoming release of Avengers: Doomsday in 2026. Following the recent debut of the New Avengers in Thunderbolts earlier this year, Phase 6 is set to reintroduce the classic Avengers team as they confront an unprecedented threat to the multiverse.

In a recent conversation with Deadline, Channing Tatum shared insights about his role as Gambit in Avengers: Doomsday. Tatum confidently stated, “Look, everyone in the world is going to see this movie.” He continued, “It might sound overconfident, but they’ve outdone themselves time and again.”

Tatum believes, “This will be the biggest movie of next year and perhaps the decade.” He highlighted the ambitious vision for the film, saying, “the scale of it, what they’re aiming to achieve, what the Russos have planned – when I read the script, I wondered, ‘How are they going to pull this off?'” Avengers: Doomsday marks the return of directors Anthony and Joe Russo, their first Avengers film since Avengers: Endgame.

Reflecting on the action sequences he performed, Tatum described the experience as climbing “an Everest of a mountain. I am still in awe. I did a lot of action in this movie, but that was just one part of it.”

Tatum’s portrayal of Gambit isn’t the only crossover highlight in Avengers: Doomsday, as numerous original actors from the Fox-Marvel era will return to their roles. Notably, Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen will reprise their roles as Professor X and Magneto, respectively, characters they famously played in the early 2000s.

The first glimpse of Avengers: Doomsday will be unveiled in a trailer set for release in December 2025, which aims to showcase the expansive scope that Tatum hinted at. The film wrapped up production on September 19, 2025. While it remains uncertain how many actors will return for the 2027 lineup, the Russo brothers are confirmed to direct Avengers: Secret Wars.

The next major MCU film will be Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, scheduled for release on July 31, 2026. Marvel Studios has planned the premiere of Avengers: Doomsday for December 18, 2026.
