Seriesly Berlin has announced a lineup featuring 13 new series, including content from HBO Max and Disney+, set to premiere at the event.
The Seriesly Berlin Premieres event will take place from September 14 through September 17, coinciding with the Seriesly Berlin Conference scheduled for September 15 to 16. This will mark the debut of each series in Germany.
Highlighted in the lineup is Jossi, a dramedy produced by SWR and Arte featuring Dimitrij Schaad (Kleo) and starring Jannik Schümann (Sisi), Nilam Farooq (Call My Agent Berlin), and Thomas Loibl (Conclave). The series revolves around Jossi, a struggling actor who deceptively enters an audition meant exclusively for Jewish actors.
City of Blood, a Disney+ Germany/Hulu original, portrays a dystopian Berlin on the verge of societal collapse due to extreme climate conditions. Created by Philipp Kadelbach and Elena Lyubarskaya, this series features actors such as Lena Drinda (Sound of Falling), Franz Hartwig (Dark), Lars Eidinger (Babylon Berlin), and David Schütter (Barbarians).
The narrative centers on sisters Bea and Phoebe, who unravel the city’s covert power dynamics and find themselves embroiled in a dangerous conflict.
Additional premieres include Clangold, a documentary about a notable German robbery on HBO Max, Burden of Justice, a Swedish series about attorneys in Stockholm from Snabba Cash writer Jens Lapidus, and Atlantis Pasila, a dramedy set in a Helsinki bar. Other notables include the Sky Switzerland documentary Beach Sisters and the crime drama The Angel Maker.
From the UK, Aimee Lou Wood’s Film Club and the Sky drama Under Salt Marsh are set to premiere, alongside Ayô, a series from Brazil about a young Black gay artist in São Paolo by Lucas Oranmian. David Semler’s coming-of-age drama Filter follows the romantic entanglements of two teenage boys in Czechia.
The lineup is rounded out by the Argentine comedy So Far So Good by filmmaker Daniel Burman and the Canadian body-positive comedy Shipwrecked, created by Gabrielle Lisa Collard and Manal Drissi.
Notable attendees will include cast members from Jossi such as Nilam Farooq, Rezo Tschchikwischwili, Marina Weis, Thomas Loibl, Uwe Preuss, and Garry Fishmann, along with the series creator Dimitrij Schaad. Other attendees will include the beach volleyball sisters Anouk and Zoé Vergé-Dépré from Beach Sisters, alongside Atlantis Pasila director Ulla Heikkilä, Filter creator and director David Semler, and Under Salt Marsh creator, writer, and director Claire Oakley.

The focus of the first season is on Kauri, a nomad gearing up to leave Finland again, whose plans are thwarted when his van breaks down. Stuck in Helsinki, he falls for the enigmatic Leo, who intermittently vanishes and reappears. The series melds Finnish humor with a touch of melancholy, offering a poignant exploration of a generation’s quest for connection.
