Mayim Bialik, Haim Saban, Uzo Aduba Slam Anti-Israel Rhetoric: Stars React to D.C. Museum Shooting

Mayim Bialik, Haim Saban, Uzo Aduba Among Signatories To Letter Condemning Anti-Israel Rhetoric After D.C. Jewish Museum Shooting

Over 400 individuals from the Hollywood community have endorsed a letter by the Creative Community for Peace, which advocates against extreme anti-Israel rhetoric and the dissemination of false information.

Notable figures such as Mayim Bialik, Haim Saban, Billy Ray, Uzo Aduba, Julianna Margulies, Diane Warren, and Dean Cain have signed the document. The letter was publicized last Thursday following the tragic deaths of two Israeli Embassy employees outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. the previous week.

The letter states, “Since October 7, Hamas, Iran, and their supporters in the West have propagated hate-filled falsehoods and antisemitic provocations. These actions are aimed at vilifying Israel, the Jewish community, and their allies.”

It also criticizes other declarations signed by members of the entertainment industry that denounce Israel’s military actions against Hamas in Gaza. The letter suggests that these statements might be the result of celebrities and public figures being misled by ongoing misinformation, which they then further propagate.

The letter from the Creative Community for Peace calls on colleagues to dismiss such extremist views and misinformation to foster a future where Israelis and Palestinians can coexist peacefully and with respect.

David Renzer, chairman and co-founder of CCFP, along with executive director Ari Ingel, expressed today, “For the past 600 days, the anti-Israel movement has relentlessly used extremist rhetoric to demonize Israel and its supporters. This dangerous combination of distortion, bigotry, and incitement must be addressed. Given the influence of social media and the reach of entertainers and public figures, it’s crucial that they use their platforms responsibly to prevent further hate, violence, and the targeting of innocent lives, particularly those of Jewish descent.”

Here is the complete text of their letter:

We, the undersigned, declare enough is enough! We are tired of the lies and the extremism. Hamas, Iran, and their western sympathizers have filled the world with their hateful lies and antisemitic provocations since October 7 — lies intended to villainize Israel, the Jewish community, and their supporters.

Some well-meaning celebrities and public figures have been deceived by this relentless flow of misinformation, which they also have amplified.

On May 21, 2025, these falsehoods led to a tragic event where two young individuals were killed outside a Jewish Museum in Washington D.C., while the assailant chanted “Free Palestine”— a phrase that has now become synonymous with calls for violence.

War is terrible, often resulting in significant civilian distress. Despite Hamas initiating conflicts in 2008, 2012, 2014, 2018, and 2021, these wars were relatively brief. However, the brutal attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, marked a significant escalation.

The civilian suffering in Gaza is, regrettably, a tactic of Hamas, with one official remarking it as “a small price to pay.” This contrasts starkly with other conflict zones, like Ukraine, where women and children sought refuge underground while men engaged in combat above ground. In Gaza, following Hamas’s declaration of war, it was their militants who hid in tunnels, leaving women and children vulnerable above ground as human shields.

This conflict, initiated by Hamas, can end if they release hostages and disarm, freeing the people of Gaza from their oppressive governance.

Yet, Hamas continues to demand the ethnic cleansing of Jews from the land between the river and the sea, as outlined in their charter, which calls for the extermination of Jews.

The anti-Israel campaign adheres to this extremism. It fails to hold Hamas accountable for using hospitals, mosques, schools, and UN facilities as military bases and command centers.

The campaign also ignores the reality that many “journalists” in Gaza are actually affiliates or sympathizers of terrorist groups, even assisting Hamas in broadcasting their attacks inside Israel to the world on October 7th.

It spreads the antisemitic blood libel that Israel, and all Jews supporting it, are genocidal maniacs targeting civilians.

The campaign makes outrageous claims, like Israel’s alleged intent to kill 14,000 babies within 48 hours, which are so absurd they should be self-defeating. Yet, these claims are echoed by the media and some celebrities, spreading this misinformation to millions via social media.

The campaign incorrectly labels Jews as colonizers, despite them being indigenous to the land of Israel and having a right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland as recognized by the UN Charter.

We reject all these lies.

We refuse to let the anti-Israel movement hijack every social justice cause, outrageously asserting that supporting groups like the LGBTQIA+ community, or movements against racism, colonialism, Islamophobia, and antisemitism, means opposing Israel.

This tactic aims to depict Israel—and Jews globally—as embodying the world’s greatest evils. This is antisemitism.

We urge all our colleagues to reject this extremist rhetoric and misinformation spread, so we can all strive for a future where Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace and dignity.
