The film experienced an unexpectedly high turn-out, making its nearly perfect audience rating even more noteworthy.
The debut weekend of Christy saw a global box office collection of just $1.3 million, marking it as the third consecutive film for the Euphoria actress to open below $2 million. Despite a busy year for Sweeney, this string of underperforming films might pose a risk to her future career prospects, contrary to expectations that these releases would solidify her celebrity status.
