YMU Inks Deal with ‘Rap Game UK’ Star Krept: Exclusive Insights Revealed!

YMU Signs ‘Rap Game UK’ Host Krept

YMU Secures Representation Deal with Krept of Krept & Konan

YMU, a prominent UK-based agency, has recently announced their new collaboration with Krept, one member of the celebrated hip-hop pair, Krept & Konan.

The agency will handle various aspects of Krept’s career including talent management, commercial partnerships, brand development, digital and broadcast strategy, live performances, publishing, and intellectual property rights management.

Krept, whose legal name is Casyo Valentine Johnson, has been an influential figure in the music industry for over ten years, performing as part of Krept & Konan. Together with DJ Target, he co-hosted the popular BBC Three series The Rap Game UK, which was recently discontinued after six successful seasons. The show, a UK adaptation of the format originally created by A+E’s Lifetime, was among the longest-running on the network.

Beyond his music career, Krept is also a savvy entrepreneur. He has established several business ventures including Nala’s Baby, a natural baby skincare line inspired by his own daughter. Additionally, along with Konan, he operates Saveways, a supermarket chain designed to cater specifically to the Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities.

Krept expressed his enthusiasm about joining YMU, stating, “I’m proud to be joining YMU at such an exciting stage of my journey. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to build a career across music and business, but I feel like I’m only just getting started. Having a team that understands both creativity and entrepreneurship is incredibly important to me, and I’m looking forward to building the next chapter together.”

Mary Bekhait, the head of YMU, praised Krept as “the definition of a modern entrepreneur,” highlighting his “exceptional ability to build brands that resonate with audiences.”
