“Amazing Race Canada” Creators Elevate Three to Top Roles: Meet the New Co-Chief Content Officers!

‘Amazing Race Canada’ Maker Insight Productions Promotes Trio To Co-Chief Content Officer Roles

Insight Productions Announces Executive Promotions

Insight Productions, a prominent Canadian production company, has elevated Erin Brock, Lindsay Cox, and Mark Lysakowski to the position of Co-Chief Content Officer. The appointments are effective immediately, with the trio set to oversee production of hit shows such as Amazing Race Canada and Big Brother Canada. Working alongside John Brunton, the company’s CEO and Chairman, they will also be involved in strategic planning and efforts to expand the company’s reach. All three will continue to report directly to Brunton.

The newly appointed executives collectively manage a portfolio of successful programs, including the 12th season of Big Brother, the 11th season of The Amazing Race—Canada’s most-watched series ever—along with other notable projects like Canadian Idol, Canada’s Ultimate Challenge, The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration, The JUNO Awards, Battle of the Blades, Stronger Together, and Tous Ensemble.

Additional Leadership Enhancements

In a related development, Alison Popowich has been appointed as Director of Corporate Affairs, where she will focus on corporate strategy and planning.

John Brunton expressed his gratitude for his team’s dedication: “With heartfelt thanks to the best, most dedicated team in the business, these promotions position Insight to do our best work domestically as we continue to expand our international development and production slates, and our business around the world,” he remarked.

In another exciting update, Insight Productions is currently casting for the new Paramount+ series Canada Shore (working title), envisioned as the Canadian adaptation of MTV’s Jersey Shore, with Erin Brock at the helm as showrunner.

The announcement also highlighted a strategic partnership between Brunton and Michel St-Cyr, executive producer and founding shareholder of Groupe Fair-Play. This collaboration aims to develop and produce diverse media projects in both of Canada’s official languages, spanning multiple genres including formats, variety shows, live specials, competition reality, and social experiments, with possibilities for producing English and French versions simultaneously.

This partnership, actively managed by Brunton and Cox, is set to enhance the development of original content and extend both companies’ domestic and international footprints.
