We engaged in a secretive reading session at her long-time agent’s residence, where the sole copy of the manuscript was kept. I took my turn to read it there, followed by Francis. We were ecstatic. It overwhelmed me as someone passionate about getting lost in a compelling narrative.

It had me on the edge of my seat, in tears. The story moved me deeply and filled me with energy, yet I could only discuss it with Francis, Suzanne, and our studio collaborators—many of whom hadn’t seen it since we were safeguarding the single copy! I’m eager for fans to finally experience it and share their thoughts. I feel fortunate as a fan myself to be involved in bringing these movies to life.

Regarding the progress of the Dawn of the Reaping film adaptation, Jacobson states that early access to the manuscript has accelerated the behind-the-scenes development. The film is presently in the scripting phase, yet filming locations have already been secured:

Our progress has been significantly faster thanks to the early jump, with immediate efforts following the manuscript access. Though not yet public, we have a robust draft undergoing refinement. We’ve also finalized our filming locations. It’s quite advanced for a book that has just been released!
