Netflix Unveils Trailer for New Animated Film “In Your Dreams”

Netflix recently released the debut trailer for its new animated feature, “In Your Dreams,” a comedic adventure that promises to delight audiences of all ages.

The story centers on Stevie, a 12-year-old girl, and her younger brother Elliot, aged 8. The siblings stumble upon an enchanted picture book which claims that the Sandman can turn any dream into reality.

The children set off on an inspiring expedition into the realm of dreams, hoping to meet the legendary Sandman and convince him to help create the ideal family life they’ve always wished for.

On their quest, Stevie and Elliot reunite with Elliot’s cherished but forgotten plush toy, Baloney Tony, a giraffe with a unique single eye and tangled mane. They also cross paths with the formidable queen of nightmares.

The film is directed by Alex Woo and co-directed by Erik Benson, who both contributed to the screenplay, based on an original story by Woo and Stanley Moore. The production is overseen by producers Timothy Hahn and Gregg Taylor.

Featuring in the voice cast are Craig Robinson as Baloney Tony, Simu Liu as the father, and Cristin Milioti as the mother. The key roles of Stevie and Elliot are performed by Jolie Hoang-Rappaport and Elias Janssen, respectively.

Additional voices are provided by Omid Djalili, Gia Carides, Sung Won Cho, and Zachary Noah Piser, enhancing the film’s diverse and talented ensemble.

In a note from the director, Alex Woo reflects on the genesis of “In Your Dreams,” tracing its roots back to his departure from Pixar 10 years ago to establish Kuku Studios. He reminisces about the early days with a small team, dreaming up the types of stories they wanted to bring to the screen, with this film about the power and mystery of dreams being one of their first concepts.
