KPop Demon Hunters Makes History With Latest Award Win

The collaboration between HUNTR/X and Netflix, KPop Demon Hunters, achieved a monumental success at the Grammys as its soundtrack, “Golden“, clinched a prestigious award.

The animated Netflix film, KPop Demon Hunters, quickly became a global phenomenon, emerging as the most-watched title of 2025. It amassed a staggering 20.5 billion total viewing minutes for its 99-minute duration, which translates to about 207 million full viewings.

Beyond this Grammy, “Golden” was a contender in three other categories and contributed to the film’s nominations and wins at the Oscars, Critics’ Choice Awards, and Golden Globes.

In the same Grammy category, “Golden” was up against several strong contenders including Elton John and Brandi Carlile’s “Never Too Late“, Miles Caton’s “I Lied to You“, Jayme Lawson’s “Pale, Pale Moon“, Nine Inch Nails’ “As Alive As You Need Me To Be“, and “Sinners” by Leonard Denisenko, Rodarius Green, and Travis.

Although the trio did not perform at the Grammy ceremony, Audrey Nuna, who voiced Mira in KPop Demon Hunters, has previously emphasized the significance of their Grammy nomination, particularly for the representation of K-pop and its inspiring message to future generations of artists.
